Bai Hotel Cebu

Kara            The Bai Hotel in Cebu is one of those projects that we cannot help but swell up with pride whenever it is mentioned. Not only was it one of our first big projects, but it was also one of the most challenging projects we have undertaken thus far. Illuminating a hotel presents a wealth of challenges, especially when you have to juggle the design, installation, and logistics all at once.

            During the design process we needed to take a multifaceted approach to maximizng the space without overwhelming the senses. With that in mind, our first task was lighting up the lobby. Here we understood how important it was to make a good first impression, yet making the guests feel like they were being welcomed back home.

            From there we moved on to the more task oriented spaces, more specifically the gym and pool areas. We really put an emphasis on keeping these areas well and purposefully lit without sacrificing aesthetics in order to ensure it's a safe space where the guests can clearly see where they are going, and what they are doing.

            Lastly we moved on to the rooms themselves, a variety of spaces that we really put a lot of effort into striking the perfect balance between form and function. Specifically we wanted to provide a premium feel for the guests, beyond what the price point suggests.

            As a whole we took it upon ourselves to be as versatile as possible, whilst still delivering on the aesthetic that they preferred. We achieved this by utilizing our wide range of products, as well as having a diverse group of lighting designers who can provide us with a variety of perspectives.
